Aad is situated about 60 kms from Ghoti and the base village is called Aadwadi. The route to Aad wadi is very scenic with mostly gigantic views of the Wind mills. This ancient hill fort is used mainly a watchtower for adjoining area between Sinnar and Kasara. Old age water tanks atop tells the age of this fort over 2000 years.
Forts like Patta, Aundha, Dubergad, Songad, Parvatgad, Kalsubai peak can be seen from top.
This is where the high mountains of the Wester Sahyadri Begins. Aundha Fort, is in Aundhewadi village between Nasik and Ahmadnagar in Maharashtra. This Fort lies in the Sahyadri mountain range at a height of about 4,300 above MSL. The fort of Aundha is like a pinnacle, since top of the fort is very small.
